The First High Tunnel Harvest 2011
The first high tunnel harvest was a huge success! That was some time ago and now we are producing in four tunnels and multiple raised beds. Same quality veggies, just lots more of them.
Also called Chinese or celery cabbage. It has a delicate flavor and lighter color than most cabbages and is excellent in vegetable stir frys.
White Fleshed Baby Turnips
A two-for-one vegetable because both the leaves and root can be eaten. Leaves are often stewed in Southern cuisine, but are also excellent in soups. Roots are great roasted whole or sliced and eaten raw in salads.
Red Baby Bok Choi
A leafier variety than it's green relative. It gives a beautiful color element to Asian stir frys.
We've been busy planting! Four tunnels require thousands of plants to fill the beds with the varieties we love to grow.
February 2015 NEWS FLASH
A CSA is in the works. Kicking off in June 2015, we have started planning for a small group of customers to join our CSA. Not your usual terms. Not a box of our choice dropped off at your door. How about deciding what you want from a list each week or better yet - come to the farm and pack your own. We are very excited about the prospect of providing healthy, pesticide free produce to customers looking for those qualities in produce. Email us if you have an interest and we will provide details.
